Diabetologist Founder and Director, Taking Control of Your Diabetes Professor of Medicine UCSD School of Medicine VA Medical Center, San Diego

Laurie Tom, MD
Dr. Tom is an Endocrinologist in private practice who specializes in treating people
with diabetes. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of
Hawaii. Dr. Tom also serves on the national Board of Directors and the local Hawaii
Leadership Council of the American Diabetes Association.

Viola Genadio, APRN, CDE, MSN, BC-ADM
Viola Genadio is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist for
St. Francis Medical Center. She is a Past President of the Hawaii Association of Diabetes
Educators. She served on the Regional Leadership Team for the American Diabetes
Association, Pacific Northwest Region and is a volunteer with the Hawaii American
Diabetes Association.

Frank DeLima is one of Hawaii's most popular and beloved comedians. For
more than 30 years, this award-winning comic has been entertaining local
residents and tourists alike with his zany parodies, outrageous sense of
humor, and spontaneous creativity. Frank's specialty is translating issues-
such as, current events, fads, attitudes, and peopleŅinto fresh musical parodies.
Comedy has been ingrained in Frank's life since childhood. While growing up in Pauoa Valley on
the island of Oahu, Frank realized that he had a natural talent for making family and friends smile,
especially at themselves.
