William C. Biggs, MD
An endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid problems and osteoporosis, Dr. Biggs is on staff at Amarillo Medical Specialists. He did hid postgraduate diabetes training at Harvard Medical School and the renowned Joslin Diabetes Center. Dr. Biggs is a member of many medical associations, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Diabetes Association and the American Medical association

Kay Lackey, RN, BSN, CDE
A Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator, Kay Lackey serves as the Diabetes Education Specialist and also the Diabetes Program Director at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. Kay says she simply enjoys teachingpeople about diabetes whether in one-on-one consultations or as a public speaker for healthcare professionals. She displays a true passion for making life better for people with diabetes in here everyday prfessional life.

SPEAKER
Urban founded Challenged America in 1990 as a non-profit program of the disabled Businesspersons
Association that provides free educational and rehabilitation sailing programs allowing people of all disabilities to actively sail and race independently. Urban, an active sailor of more than 45 years and blinded Vietnam veteran, has a number of disabilies in addition to blindness and diabetes. Along with other Challenged America sailors with disabilities, Urban recently completed the Transpacific Ocean race acros the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles to Honolulu.
