John Buse, MD, PHD
Dr. Buse is an endocrinolo-gist
who specializes in
treating diabetes. He is
Chief of the Division of
General Internal Medicine
and Director of the
Diabetes Care Center at
the University of North
Carolina School of Medicine. In addition,
Dr. Buse is an active researcher and
educator in diabetes and has been
recognized state-wide and nationally as
one of the "Best Doctors" in diabetes.

Elizabeth H. Holt MD, FACE
Dr. Holt is an endocrinolo-gist
practicing in Raleigh
at Raleigh Endocrine
Associates. She is an
Assistant Consulting
Professor of Medicine at
Duke University and is a
Medical Director for the
Diabetes Center at Duke Health Raleigh
Hospital. She is also a Director at Raleigh
Endocrine Research Associates.

Jan Nicollerat MSN,
APRN-BC, CDE
is currently the Director of
Duke University's Adult
Diabetes Program. As an
advanced practice nurse,
her clinical practice focuses
on management of patients
with diabetes with an emphasis on intensive
insulin therapy, insulin pumps, and diabetes
education. She is a certified diabetes
educator who remains commit-ted to
promoting quality care for persons with
diabetes.

TOM PARKS
Tom Parks has been
making people
laugh for over 25
years. He started in
1976 on the college
circuit and was named "College
Entertainer of the Year" and "College
Comedian of the Year" by the National
Association of Campus Activities.
Tom has appeared on The Tonight
Show, Late Night with David Letterman
and all the major comedy. He has starred
in his own comedy specials for both HBO
and Showtime and for two seasons was
the Anchorman on HBO's award winning
"Not Necessarily the News" for which he
was nominated for an ACE Award.
Diagnosed with diabetes in 1985,
Tom remains an active volunteer
for diabetes related causes.
