Will Cross is a 40-year-old expedition leader and world-class athlete. Raised in England until age 12, Will has worked continually for more than 30 years to overcome obstacles that accompany diabetes. He recently conquered what is known as the NovoLogŪ Peaks and Poles Challenge--reaching the highest peak on each continent, including reaching the summit of Mt. Everest, and trekking across the North and South Poles. On May 23, 2006, he became the first American and first person with diabetes to do so.

Will is showing the tens of millions of people with diabetes that they don't have to be defined by their disease. He wants to prove that there are no diabetics--only people who happen to have diabetes--and that those with the condition can manage it successfully
